Afternoon Routine

Afternoons bring a blend of structured and spontaneous learning opportunities. On any given day, children may participate in show and tell, enhancing their communication skills, or engage in music lessons that tap into their innate sense of rhythm and melody. Children may also be assigned yoga lessons introducing mindfulness and physical activity or Japanese language lessons to help expand their cultural horizons.

As the day winds down, we gather for a daily summary and storytelling, reflecting and reinforcing the day’s activities. This is followed by outside playtime, which allows for physical exercise and interpersonal development in the natural world – one of the keystones of our commitment to connecting children with the environment.

The day closes with an afternoon tea, another moment to nourish our bodies. Miss Chloe and Miss Paige then help the children gather their belongings and accomplishments, ready to share them with their families.

Every aspect of the day in the Nature Explorer's room perfectly aligns with the dynamic programs and curriculum at Evolution Early Learning. We integrate essential elements such as environmental sustainability, creative arts, health and physical exercise, plus all-inclusive, chef-prepared meals into the fabric of daily experiences. With unique programs such as Little Zookeepers, Eco Warriors, and extracurricular activities, the children are encouraged to be inquisitive environmental stewards for their entire lives.
